Liberal Manifesto II
When it’s war it war!!!
No more turning the other cheek
Looking so meek
That the lion smells the fear in the air
The coyotes even catch a sense of the aroma
As you stand alone in a desolate forest
Dark and cold no light shines through the darkness
Just embers of stars.
But in this war its life or death
It’s regression or progression
You ask yourself
Am I ready for the test?
Your heart beats fast
But in this race you have to last
As they raise their army to gain strength
You must stay resolved in what is right
Ready to put up a fight for the weak
It’s time for the meek to inherit this earth.
Stop the rebirth of the conservatives
The ones who changed the way we live.
Killed our economy, killed our kids,
Planned to take the money and run.
But since we kicked them out
The battle has just begun.
They want control of the world church
Never mind the millions they hurt
They just want it back.
Fools resurrected from what seemed a certain demise
Back on earth like the new Jesus to our surprise
Yelling Tea Bags for all Americans as they attempt to sand bag our choice
attempting to drown out our voices that were cast as votes.
As if they didn’t remember that we won.
But it is not enough for these conservatives who want to rewrite the constitution
Re-Ignite a civil war and re live the last eight years of trickery that made them believe
That everything was just fine.
Never mind, a great depression, lives lost in a war of aggression, No WMD’s,
No answer to Katrina’s pleads, our economy in the tank, and used Wall Street
to rob the banks.
So don’t step back, step forward with the fire of those who tread the waters to get us where we are today.
And for those who yell fire in a theater, for them we will pray.
That they will be cured of their insanity and hatred and take a liberal approach to being conservative.
A quote from the past:
A conservative is a man with two perfectly good legs who, however, has never learned how to walk forward.”

Soldier Of Love (Sade Inspired)
Love shot me
And left a hole
In my soul
But I still hold out
With some faith
And try to be a soldier for your love
Pain and despair is in the air
As I enter this dark empty room
That use to posses the essence of you
Yet I am left with desert dry air
And a mind full of fear that I will not
Find love again
Yet I am a soldier
Scared to love hard because it hurts so much
Even the thought of a touch drenched with the
Sweat of affection
would arouse the spirit of self protection
and steer me from my selection of you
despite your being brand new
All I feel Is the pain of what you may do
Yet I am a soldier .
And left a hole
In my soul
But I still hold out
With some faith
And try to be a soldier for your love
Pain and despair is in the air
As I enter this dark empty room
That use to posses the essence of you
Yet I am left with desert dry air
And a mind full of fear that I will not
Find love again
Yet I am a soldier
Scared to love hard because it hurts so much
Even the thought of a touch drenched with the
Sweat of affection
would arouse the spirit of self protection
and steer me from my selection of you
despite your being brand new
All I feel Is the pain of what you may do
Yet I am a soldier .

How to honor Martin's Legacy
For a man to give his life to stop the violence against black people, to ensure they have equal rights in jobs and education. Who are we to fail his legacy.
The past year in 2009 has been tragic for the black community. More of our
black men are killing one another across this country that may eclipse the present
wars our country is presently fighting. More black men and women are pouring into county, state, and federally run prisons that ever could be estimated.
So where are we to begin as we reflect on our past history of discrimination in this country? I would kindly suggest that we begin at home with our own family. Make a personal commitment to yourself and your children. This commitment will consist of a promise to ensure that you will invest into there happiness, education, and spiritual growth.
Time is a important part of this commitment because where we feel that hard work and financial provision should suffice for our absence, it most of the time does not.
Our children feel that there is a void in their lives and sometime need us there physically and emotionally to provide guidance.
Find a child, teen, or young adult to mentor. Way before our recession there has always been obstacles for those around us to conquer. Sometimes our experience can help not only those closest to us but those who move in and out of our lives daily.
This help you, your community and someone else. Communication is one of the truest form of Nation Building which is something our community needs.
In 2010 our children and community will need a lot of help to steer our children toward normalcy. I suggest and encourage so of our most intelligent and fashionable
women to formulate weekend clubs for girls that will deal with conversations on relationships, fashion, careers, and education.
Men should organize weekend mentoring sessions that will cover parenting, education,
impulse control, anger management, and entrepreneurship.
This can be the personal and community milestone to strive for. If feel that this can be a hard task for one person to take on by themselves so I encourage that you form a group of at least 5 adult to help take on this challenge with you.
In the great words of "Gil Scott Heron" We all may not be able to do everything but each of us can do something"
